The Wedding and The Honeymoon

So October was the busiest month of my life, and it was the best! Josh and I got married Oct 2 and the weather couldn't have been any better. It rained a couple days before and the whole week after! (and it never rains in san diego) We lucked out and had the best weather for the rehearsal day and the wedding day.

Getting Ready...I had an amazing suite at The Hard Rock Hotel that overlooked the ceremony site...I kept looking at it! There are so many great pictures, it was so hard to choose which one to put on here!

For Our Honeymoon, we went to London and than to Africa. It was so incredible. Josh and I sponsor a child through World Vision, and we were able to meet him and his family. We went to their village and words can not descibe the feeling. I was treated as if I was an angel. They kept thanking me saying that we were saving their lives. I help one of the babies at the village and within seconds there was a line of mothers wanted me to hold and pray over their babies. It was so touching and it was a moment i will cherish forever.

The honeymoon was an adventure and it was all amazing! Now we are on a new adventure of marriage...I am now Mrs. Caitlin Cantor!

Sunshine is here...

I have been taking summer classes for the past 2 months, and I am finally done! It was kinda nice to get 2 classes over with in 5 weeks, especially because the sun was not coming out in Carlsbad. Now that school is done, the sun is shining!
There is only 6 more weeks until the big day! It's fastly approaching, and I am so excited. My mom is flying in tonight with my Aunt Lynn. We have a big weekend ahead of us: Dress Fitting, Hair trial, make-up trial, Making the wedding favors, shop for bridesmaid gifts and My California bridal shower! All fun things! I pray this weekend goes slow and I can enjoy my mommy and me time. I will post pictures of our fun weekend in a couple days! Hope everyone is doing well.

Bridal Shower- New Jersey

So the shower was unbelievable! It was the prettiest thing ever. I am so blessed on how many people were there and how generous everyone was to Josh and I in their gifts. My mom was so creative with different games and ideas. All of the center pieces on the tables were hanging plants. She was raffling them off. the tickets were a dollar a piece and the money went towards our honeymoon. So clever!

She also made wedding bingo for the gifts. After I would open a present, I would have to yell what it was and people would look to see if the item was on their bingo card. Several people won prices! it was a fun way for guest to enjoy watching the presents be open.

My mom and Aunt Lynn presented this poem of how Josh and I met and our journey together. In the story she used a bunch of cleaning product names and held them up when she said the word. (bounty, fantastic, swept, Mr. clean, resolve, pledge) It is hard to explain but it was the cutest thing ever. I will have to post the story.

This is my mom and I. She gave me the most beautiful shower! It was so amazing. It was at a really nice country club in Farmingdale, New Jersey. With all of the ribbon from the gifts, my sister's made my wedding veil for the rehearsal. (it is really heavy).

My bridal party...all but one (my girlfriend Kristen was extremely ill and was unable to make it) So glad it was nothing too serious. I love them all!

I had a lot of reminders of where I come from. I got a lot of things that had Jersey written all over it! You can take the girl out of Jersey, but you can't take the Jersey out of the girl.

I am in New Jersey!

So I am back in New Jersey sitting on the couch with my mom. She just told me I needed to Blog about my trip. I just flew into town this evening. Josh, Jan (josh's mom), Rebekah (my maid of honor) and Laura (the best man's wife) all flew back with me. I am here for 8 days and I am so happy to be home! My mom is throwing me a bridal shower out here this weekend, I am so excited. Tomorrow a majority of my bridesmaids and I will be going shopping for their dresses. It should be a fun time! I will fill everyone in after the shower with lots of pictures.

As for other news, I got a new car!!! I just got a 2010 Acura RDX. I love it so much! It is a small SUV, so it will be a good car to start a family with!!!

Well it is getting late here and we should be getting ready for bed!!

The First Blog Post!

Hi. So my friend Melissa Armit asked me to start a blog, and without much convincing, I agreed! I have been very busy planning for the big day, October 2nd. I can't believe its only four months away. I feel like I have a lot of the major decisions done. My wedding dress should be here in the next couple weeks, I am really looking foward to that. Josh and I also, just finalized our menu for the wedding, it was so much fun. We were able to sit in the kitchen at the hotel and watch how everything was prepared. All of the food tasted so good, it was hard to choose which ones we will have., but I think we will have a great variety! I am really looking foward to coming back to New Jersey for a bridal shower that my mom and grandma are throwing for me. My mom always has the best parties (with all her nerdy, but so adorable ideas), so I am excited to see everything.

The weather is getting so nice, summer is finally here. I will be taking some summer classes starting July 7th, so I have to be wise with my time and get as much wedding planning done now before I am too busy! I am making my own invitation, I am hopefully going to get a lot done with them before I go back to New Jersey of June 17th. So if any of the girls that live in california want to help make invitations, it would be great!!! The more the merrier, it's a blast doing them when I have a couple of girls laughing with me. Let me know!

Besides wedding planning, I am in the process of looking for a new car. Of course, it's the worst possible time for a new car, but mine won't be lasting much longer. Whats one more expense this year!?! I will keep you posted on what I end up with. We are looking at small SUV's, the new family kind of car haha. I will try to update the blogs as much as I can, who knows how good I will be at this....
